God is good to allow me to do a great number of things, but one of my favorite things in all of the world is getting to be a greeter at Southern Hills Baptist Church. Every Sunday morning you can find me greeting and distributing bulletins at Door #11. Continue reading “HOW MARVELOUS, HOW WONDERFUL”
I got back from New York City around 2 o’clock this afternoon. While momma was cooking dinner my spirit told me that I should go get a Dr. Pepper icee and that is just what I did. I got into my Ford Escape and drove myself over to the neighborhood OnCue (just a few blocks away) and got myself thirty-two ounces of one of my favorite drinks.
As I drove off and after taking the first sip of this Dr. Pepper deliciousness, I remembered that I never took the time to thank God for bringing my team and me home safely. While talking with the Lord about the trip and many of the things I was thankful for, our conversation made a transition once I backed into my driveway. Of all of those teachers, I think my favorites were those who taught my least favorite subjects. I always dreaded going to a new math or science class, because those were my least favorite subjects. Strangely enough, these teachers were, and still are my favorites. These are the teachers that I have befriended on Facebook and the teachers that I ask about. I absolutely love chicken! I have chicken at least once a day, on average. That said, I was excited to hear that a new chicken place was opening up on the south side of Oklahoma City. Lucky for me, it is located just a few minutes down the road from my home.
Today I got word that this place was open and I immediately made dinner plans to feast with a couple of my bestest friends at Jim’s Famous Chicken. Needless to say, I was excited! Continue reading “JIM’S FAMOUS CHICKEN”
