After I posted the first part of this list on Wednesday, I began focusing in on 1 Kings 8:56 that afternoon. Before I started to memorize that passage, I wanted to get a better understanding of what was happening in the passage. FAITH BUILDING VERSES, PT. 1

Each week we have a meeting that includes all of our church staff and one of us will share a brief devotional. Last week our devotion was done via FaceTime by Ruffin and at one point, he had Pastor Doug recite Nahum 1:7; “The Lord is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; he knows those who take refuge in him.” Ruffin said something after this that stuck with me. DISCIPLESHIP QUALITIES

In the coming months here at Southern Hills we are going to be placing a heavy emphasis on discipleship. Our leadership is really desiring and praying that our people will begin to participate in the discipleship process. For some, maybe you never have been discipled. Maybe you have been discipled but that process stopped with you and you’ve never poured your life into someone else’s. Either way, the church is going to encourage you to participate.
